Protan Ventiflex Accessories
All Ventiflex accessories have been developed to optimize airflow in accordance with the laws of aerodynamics and are produced in the strongest duct quality to withstand high stress.
Protan’s fittings come in all diameters and for all coupling systems.
Ventiflex fittings can be customized to specification for more extreme ventilation duct installations to ensure optimum airflow, in example long duct installations.
Fan Connector
The Ventiflex Fan Connector is the optimum connection piece from the fan to the main duct. The dynamic pres- sure loss caused by the expanding angle will be regained as static pressure.
Bends
By using five segments for 900 turn and the ratio of R = 3D, the Ventiflex Bend gives the lowest static pressure and energy loss when using flexible ducting.
When the fan is running, this design allow the Ventiflex Bend to perform with an ideal shape from an air handling point of view, providing optimum flow efficiency when turning the air flow direction.
Branches
Branches are available in 30, 45, 60 and 90 degree angles.
The lowest static pressure loss and energy consumption will be achieved by using a Ventiflex Branch at the closest angle to the new direction of the air supply.
This ensures the least vibrations and mechanical stress and lowest energy consumption.
Y-T pieces
The lowest static pressure loss and energy consumption will be achieved by using a Ventiflex Y-T when splitting the air flow into two new directions.
The lowest pressure drop possible will occur when turning through angles by up to 90 degrees.
Reducer
The Ventiflex Reducer has the optimum design for conversion from one diameter to another.
The reduction angle is set at six degrees, thereby causing an insignificant static pressure and energy loss. The Ventiflex Reducer may be used bi-directionally for conversions to reduced or increased diameters.
