In most instances organisations implement only one or two of the sections of an integrated management system, either with the idea to add the rest later, or to deliberately ignore them and obtain third party accreditation with the minimal basic requirements in place to score some points in tender adjudication.
From the interim PPE Technologies approach was to utilise ISO 9001: 2008 as an 'umbrella standard', which encompasses all overlapping requirements of the three appropriate management systems standards.
