Since 1990, Wheelwash has been providing energy-efficient and environmentally friendly wheel cleaning systems that effectively prevent site vehicles and mobile plant spreading dirt and debris onto public roads.
Our patented drive-through bath was the first of its kind more than 25 years ago, and remains a staple in our fleet today. Our range has since evolved to include a variety of high-pressure spray wash systems with water recycling and dry ramp sets that we supply to customers worldwide.
Available for sale or rental, systems can be inset into a prepared foundation or surface-mounted and can be easily relocated.
Automatic wheel washers for mining applications
Wheelwash has the largest range of automatic wheel cleaning equipment available, which means we have the perfect solution to meet your site and budgetary requirements.
The Rhino Ecowash® Express is the smallest of the high-pressure spray wash systems, designed for small spaces. Like all systems in the Rhino Ecowash® range, it provides unrivalled reliability and performance. Operating on a closed loop system, it also effectively recycles used water. The system comprises a robust, heavy-duty steel 2m wash platform, optional 3m ramps and a 4,000l water recycling tank, as well as submersible pumps and controls.
The Rhino Ecoramp® is a simple, drive-over dry ramp system designed to prevent the spread of site dirt and debris onto public highways. It is our most environmentally friendly wheel cleaning system because it requires no power or water, and is virtually maintenance-free. It works on the vibration effect created by the vehicle tyres driving over inverted steel angle. The system comprises robust mobile road in 4m-long horizontal sections and low-profile 3m inclined entry and exit ramps, all made from heavy-duty steel. Each section is fitted with traffic barriers to provide a visual guide to drivers. Twin interlocks at both ends ensure fast installation and improved security of attachment. Spacer bars positioned at intervals between the two ramps provide additional rigidity.
The Rhino Ecowash® Excel is a compact high-pressure spray wash system that operates automatically. Like all systems in the Rhino Ecowash® range, it provides unrivalled reliability and performance. The closed loop system also effectively recycles the water it uses. The Rhino Ecowash® Excel comprises a robust, heavy-duty steel 4m wash platform, optional 3m ramps and a 15,000l water recycling tank, quality submersible pumps and housed controls.
The Rhino Ecobath® is a simple, drive-through bath system designed to prevent the spread of dirt and debris on to public highways from site vehicles and mobile plants. It is an environmentally friendly wheel cleaner that only requires 13,750l of water to become fully operational. The system comprises a 10m-long central bath section containing removable, internal grids of steel angle that are partly submerged in water. Additional 3m-long access ramps are supplied when the system is installed above ground. Sturdy horizontal road can also be supplied in 4m sections as an option to provide additional cleaning using a dry vibration effect. These can be located before and after the bath section, and make it suitable for articulated vehicles.
For locations requiring enhanced water quality, the Ecoclear is an improvement from the Ecowash Extra. It effectively removes suspended solids from the wastewater generated by wheel washing operations. Although it only requires an area of 12m², the Ecoclear has an effective settlement capacity exceeding 200m², which enables clarifying the wastewater to a similar quality as if it had flowed through 16 standard settlement tanks in a row or two standard lagoons. This enables high-quality recycled water to be reused in the wheel washing process, maximising performance.
The Rhino Ecowash® Extra is an automatically activated drive-through spray wash system designed to prevent the spread of site dirt and debris onto public highways. Like many systems in the Rhino Ecowash® range, it is powered by inverter-driven pumps to provide up to 50% operational cost savings, unrivalled reliability and total flexibility of wash pressure. This closed loop system also effectively recycles the water it uses. The Rhino Ecowash® Extra comprises a robust 6m wash platform, optional 3m entry and exit ramps and water recycling tanks totalling 36,000 litres capacity. All items are made from heavy-duty steel. The system is supplied with high-quality pumps and controls housed in a lockable kiosk.
The Rhino Ecowash® Extreme is an automatically activated drive-through spray wash system designed to prevent the spread of site dirt and debris from high-volume sites onto public highways. Like many systems in the Rhino Ecowash® range, it is powered by inverter-driven pumps to provide up to 50% operational cost savings, unrivalled reliability and total flexibility of wash pressure. This closed loop system also effectively recycles the water it uses. The Rhino Ecowash® Extreme comprises a robust 12m wash platform, optional entry and exit ramps and water recycling tanks totalling 56,000l capacity, all made from heavy-duty steel. It is supplied with quality pumps and controls housed in a lockable kiosk.
The application of a Wheelwash boot-cleaning unit reduces your room cleaning costs, replaces time-consuming and often arduous manual cleaning of boots and prevents unwanted transfer of hazardous materials when working in contaminated areas. The unit is especially designed for application in the mining, waste recycling, construction, quarrying and farming industries.
Our systems are designed to be modular so that we can use any combination of ramps, wash platforms, recycling tanks and pumps to ensure you have the correct solution to your wheel cleaning needs.
We also have the expertise to design a bespoke system, tailored to you.
Energy and cost-efficient systems with a recycle feature
Products from the Wheelwash standard range require low or no power and are supplied with water recycling tanks whenever water is required for their operation.
Many design features such as inverter drives have also been incorporated to provide significant energy, water and operational cost savings. The inverter allows complete variability of wash pressure so that you can turn down the power during good weather periods, which can lead to 60% reduction in costs. We are also proud to supply the Eco clear, the most effective and eco-friendly wastewater treatment system available for use in wheel washing applications.
It effectively removes large volumes of suspended solids from the wash water without chemical dosing. This is a simple-to-use, mobile piece of equipment that ensures high-quality recycled water with minimal water loss.
