Building on a tradition that dates back to 1954 when it developed the industry’s first portable light tower, Allmand Bros announces the development of the latest generation Maxi-Lite® light tower, the Allmand Maxi-Lite II™. It will be available in either a traditional lay down style or a V-series hydraulically-actuated vertical tower. This redesign builds on the previous generation’s reputation of reliability with even greater performance and serviceability features.
Longer run time
Now standard with 100 US gallons of fuel capacity, the Maxi-Lite II can operate up to 175 hours with all four lights operating to provide extended operation with less service expense. The dual rotationally molded fuel tanks are longitudinally mounted on either side of the enclosure directly over the axle to ensure that the trailer is evenly balanced irrespective of the fuel level.
Easier service
The light tower’s completely redesigned trailer features heavy-gauge formed steel gull-wing style doors that allow complete accessibility to all major engine and generator components. Its remote oil drain enables easy engine servicing. The larger enclosure allows easier service access and accommodates Tier IV Final engines as well as any peripheral attachments they may require.
Environmentally friendly
The trailer-integrated fluid containment system provides additional peace-of-mind when operating in environmentally-sensitive areas. The containment tray holds up to 110 percent of the fuel and oil capacity and incorporates a large drain for easy clean-out.
Five-point stabilizer system
A new standard five-point stabilizer system features two side sliding outriggers and two rear sliding outriggers, all with captive lock pins and an additional swivel screw jack on the trailer drawbar. When properly set up and leveled, the Maxi-Lite II can remain stable in wind gusts up to sixty-five miles per hour.
More light
Incorporating Allmand’s exclusive SHO-HD® 1,250-watt engineered lighting system, the new Maxi-Lite II provides 150,000 lumens per lamp – a thirty-six percent increase over most competitive light towers. The brighter, whiter light of the SHO-HD system more accurately approximates sunlight, helping to promote worksite safety and efficiency. Additionally, Allmand’s optional Saf-T-Visor attachment may also be installed on the fixtures to direct otherwise wasted light back onto the worksite.
