In order to continuously improve our products, Thor Global has decided to upgrade all standard touch screens to the Schneider Magelis GTO model.
The main benefit to these touch screens is that they come with a built in Ethernet, which means faster connections to the PLC. USB capabilities now enable users to upgrade programs fast and easy by plugging in a ThorDrive without requiring any onsite assistance. No more buttons means we’ve also added a menu page to make screens simple to navigate.
The new 10in screens are even larger and brighter than before, using LED technology for a high efficiency screen that can be viewed from multiple angles under all lighting conditions. Buttons on the screen have been enlarged for larger fingers, while push button controls remain standard. Retrofit capabilities are also available using a 7in version.
