Superior Industries, a leading manufacturer of conveyor systems and components, announced today that the company’s new wing pulley has been awarded a patent from the United States Patent and Trademark Office. This patented pulley design is sold under Superior Industries’ federally registered trademark ‘Chevron® wing pulley’.
The innovative v-shape design helps to shed and deflect material, resulting in reduced wing bending and extended belt life. Additionally, the design aids belt tracking and maintains a sound level that measures 50dB quieter than standard wind pulleys. Superior’s Chevron wing pulley is sold in both CEMA and super duty specifications.
Headquartered in Morris, Minnesota, Superior Industries designs and fabricates a full line of conveying equipment, telescoping conveyors, feed systems, conveyor idlers, pulleys and other conveyor components. The company operates from additional facilities in Prescott Valley, Arizona and Norcross, Georgia.
