Morris-based Superior Industries continues to report steady growth. The Private Company Index (PCI) noticed the trend throughout 2007 and named the manufacturer of conveyor systems and components one of ten “Top Growth Companies” in the United States for 2008.
Helping to push Superior’s 18% sales growth from 2006 to 2007 was the company’s addition of a new manufacturing facility in Prescott Valley, Arizona. The 30,000ft² space manufactures equipment for the Southwest US and Mexico markets.
The company also credits an upswing in the price of precious metals and commodities. Superior manufactured equipment and conveyor components for several large projects in that industry like Goldcorp’s Penasquito Mine in Zacatecas, Mexico and Nord Resource’s Johnson Camp Mine near Tucson, Arizona.
Published monthly by Entrex Inc., PCI measures the revenue performance and activities of mid-sized private companies in the United States. The Entrex PCI provides financial markets with the ability to measure private business activity – allowing for historical analysis, comparison and predictive forecasting.
Headquartered in Morris, Minnesota, Superior Industries designs and fabricates a full line of conveying equipment, telescoping conveyors, feed systems, conveyor idlers and pulleys, as well as other conveyor components.
