Atlas Copco Secoroc’s COP 66 hammer and its new platform design represent real innovation in down the hole drilling.
You can see and feel the difference yourself, as the hammer is shorter, lighter, has no exhaust tube and a solid bit with no centre flushing hole. But the most surprising difference is that the hammer is even easier to operate.
Faster penetration
With COP 66, penetration is 15% faster than its predecessor, COP 64 Gold. COP 66 is more easily adjustable for feed force and rotation, making life easier for its operator and business more productive.
Higher reliability
With its unique design and reduced air consumption, the COP 66 doesn’t just drill faster, but less wear and tear on the hammer means it can drill for longer too. The hammer has fewer parts, a 30% shorter and lighter hammer and a considerably longer service lifespan, so it is more reliable and economical to run.
Built for a new era of drilling
The COP 66 is designed for a new generation of drill rigs, the Atlas Copco SmartROC and FlexiROC. They combine the latest drilling technology with air packages up to 30 bar.
Proven serviceability
The COP 66 is designed for reliability and quick and simple servicing. Innovations such as the E-kit allow the COP 66 to be rebuilt twice over its lifetime in normal abrasive conditions, as opposed to just once with COP 64 Gold.
Additional options
Along with the COP 66, the COP 86 hammer is available. The new COP 86 features all the same benefits as the new COP 66 just in a different size option.
