DRA Americas is involved in a number of North American mining projects. In the iron ore sector, DRA is completing an iron ore processing plant for Labrador Iron Mines near Schefferville in western Labrador, overseeing the engineering, design and procurement as well as assisting with construction and commissioning.

The scope of work included the construction of the beneficiation plant, and accommodation camp, the former including primary and secondary crushers, screens, scrubbers, stackers and conveyers. DRA is currently in discussions with the client for an upgrade project that will expand the facility’s output from 400tph to 600tph and the incorporation of further recovery methods by employing jigs and high intensity magnetic separators.
