We are excited to announce that MINExpo 2012 will be the official release of our MSHA-pending Canary™ Link-Intrinsically Safe, two-way Through-The-Earth Communication™ system. The Canary™Link-IS was developed specifically to assist underground coal mine operators comply with the regulations set out in the MINER Act.
As new fully wireless two-way communication systems become commercially available, operators will be required to implement these systems in place of the currently accepted alternatives. The Canary™Link-IS, compared to existing MSHA approved Through-The-Earth systems, is a small, lightweight and mobile system that has the ability to communicate via voice, and text message. Canary™Link-IS can integrate with existing mine communications such as leaky feeder systems, or be used as a fully independent, standalone device. Additionally, Canary™Link-IS can transmit system data through solid rock and coal to surface, or between working levels in the mine.
