West Australian-based engineering and project management company EPMS continues to be called on for its mineral sands expertise.
The most recent appointment as the lead engineering contractor for the definitive engineering study phase on World Titanium Resources’ Ranobe Mine project sees EPMS expanding its global mineral sands experience further.
The Ranobe Mine in south-west Madagascar is being developed by World Titanium Resources (WTR). The Ranobe Mine comprises more than 700 million tonnes of high-grade sands. EPMS’s scope includes the design of the primary concentrator, mineral processing facilities and supporting infrastructure, as well as the compilation of Study CAPEX and OPEX estimates for Stage 1 of the Ranobe Mine.
Managing director Dave Robinson said: "We’re excited about taking the lead on the study. Our extensive mineral sands experience is what has landed us the Ranobe Mine work and our involvement in the project will further build on our thorough understanding of mineral sands process plant engineering and design."
Currently, EPMS is also involved in studies and projects for Tiwest, Alkane Resources, Indo Mines, Gladiator Resources, Xstrata Technology, as well as other confidential clients.
