Mike Rispin, senior vice-president for Global Sales and Marketing at Normet Group, announces the following changes in Normet’s North American organization, effective 1 December 2016.

Gregory Hallett joins the organization in the lead role in North America, in the capacities of vice-president, North America and managing director, Normet Americas. Hallett is an experienced manager with 30 plus years in the construction and mining industries. He joins Normet from an original equipment manufacturer and is widely experienced in providing equipment and process solutions for underground construction and mining applications. He will work from the North America headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah, reporting to Rispin.

Lauro Lacerda joins the organization in the position of Manager, Ground Control and Construction Technologies, heading up the Construction Chemical and Rock Reinforcement business in North America. Lacerda has over 32 years of experience in the mining and tunneling industry sectors holding senior positions with large mining companies, a major rock reinforcement supplier, a major construction chemical supplier and was most recently with a large US tunneling contractor. He holds bachelor and master degrees in engineering from American universities and is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Nevada. He will work from the NA headquarters, reporting to Hallett.

Rob Stepan has joined the organization in the position of product development and production coordinator, Construction Chemicals, supporting primarily the growing Tunnel Boring Machine effort as well as the other facets of the Construction Chemicals business in NA. Stepan’s background is in chemical research and development, mainly on the formulations side, and his resume also boasts product management experience. Stepan will work from Cleveland, Ohio and report to Lacerda.
