On 17 January 2019, the new EKG-20K shovel started working at Navoi Mining & Metallurgical Combinat in Uzbekistan.

This is the second shovel under the contract between IZ-KARTEX and Navoi MMC signed in 2017. Generally, IZ-KARTEX must produce nine shovels for Navoi MMC under the contract before 2021.

Mining enterprises of Uzbekistan are the key customers of IZ-KARTEX. The 1st shovel EKG-4U was delivered to Uzbekistan in 1970. The cooperation of IZ-KARTEX with Navoi MMC has more than 25 years.

During 2010-2015 IZ-KARTEX delivered to enterprises of Uzbekistan 39 shovels – EKG-10, EKG-15 and EKG-20K. Herewith on April 2017, IZ-KARTEX signed the contract for 37 shovels (EKG-8US, EKG-10, EKG-15M) with Navoi MMC, Uzbekcoal, Almalyc MMC.
