What is mCoreSDR?
mCoreSDR Is an industrial grade computer built into a compact rugged design, typically referred to as a gateway. mCoreSDR was designed from the ground up to provide all the features and functionality required to take advantage of emerging technological solutions in; edge analytics, industrial IoT, remote monitoring and to do so with cyber security and longevity in mind (i.e., ruggedness).
What does it do?
Built into the mCoreSDR gateway is tremendous amount of capability. With powerful processors and e cient electronics, it’s designed to run on power supplied by the mining asset. It captures, processes, translates, and converts industrial data being broadcast on bus networks such as Cat Data Link, J1939, ModBus and more.
Industrial Protocol Translation/Conversion
Monico’s mCoreSDR has been used to capture data from Caterpillar, Liebherr, Komatsu, Sandvik and more. Monico has the ability to work with most major OEMs and often works with customers to identify what digital data is available, what industrial protocols that data is broadcast in and identifies a solution for capturing that data and translating it into a protocol/format for ingestion into other systems (i.e., getting it off the mining asset to another destination).
Industrial Mining Equipment Data Integration
In some cases, mCoreSDR has been used by mining operations that already have a data storage and archival system in place; such as AVEVA PI. Monico assist mining customers in capturing the data from, typically challenging assets such as haul trucks, shovels, loaders, etc., and getting that data into their PI systems.
The mCoreSDR is also a great device for capturing data into other systems such as Industrial IoT platforms and cloud-based analytics solutions. With the ability to convert inbound industrial protocols to languages such as mqtt and mqtt sparkplug b, getting the data into differing systems is made much easier.
Integration of data into archival systems (e.g., AVEVA PI), Industrial IoT applications, analytics applications and Monico’s mGuard MachineWatch (remote condition monitoring solution).
