Ventiflex Ventilation System: Save on Fan Energy Consumption

By Protan

To minimize the cost of operation and optimize the return on the investment, it is essential to ensure that the system is properly installed and maintained. The importance of adequate planning for installation and maintenance cannot be underestimated. The quality of the installation can minimize the risk of leakage and affect overall system performance. The better the installation of the duct, the better the fan’s performance and longevity, and the lower the long-term operating costs.

Protan Ventiflex helps to reduce the project’s operating cost by low friction, low shock loss and low leakage factors. The total pressure at the duct inlet and the air flow rate at the duct outlet are governed by these three factors. Friction factor tells the magnitude of the friction loss between the flowing air and the inner duct wall. Shock loss factor tells the magnitude of the sudden pressure drops at obstacles (bends, tees, contractions, diffusers, joints, etc.). Leakage factor is the average area of leakages given in mm2 per m2 duct wall.
