As a global company, we also understand the significance of sustainability on a global scale. We are dedicated to creating eco-friendly pump solutions that reduce energy usage and minimise environmental impact.
The PumpEng Way: A Partnership for Success
The PumpEng Way is a unique approach to dewatering management that goes beyond just supplying pumps. We believe that dewatering pumps, though a small part of mining operations, are crucial to maintaining productivity, safety, and morale on-site.
The PumpEng Way is a partnership based on datadriven continuous improvement, ensuring that the right pump is consistently used for the job. By improving your dewatering system, you can significantly impact productivity, reduce costs, and enhance workplace safety.
Innovative Pump Design
PumpEng dewatering pumps and parts have rewritten the industry standards for pump life. Their cutting-edge design means operators are seeing at least a doubling of mean time between failure.
In fact, many are seeing even better results than that. They are also reporting reduced costs of servicing because the pumps are damaged less in the changeout process.
PumpEng develops pumps and parts specifically built to handle the demanding conditions of the modern mine, where Shotcrete fibre is present in the wastewater.
Our pumps have several inbuilt defences that have helped to dramatically increased pump life. Some of the benefits of PumpEng’s solutions include fewer production delays, longer pump life, more efficient personnel management, and a unique identification system so maintenance crews and supply managers ensure the right pump is used for the job.
Comprehensive Product Range
PumpEng offers a diverse portfolio of dewatering pumps, each designed to handle the toughest environments in mining, construction, and mineral processing applications:
JetGuard®
A heavy-duty electro submersible pump with an all-metal wet end and high chrome impeller, JetGuard® is particularly suitable for harsh environments with Shotcrete poly fibre in the wastewater.
The hydraulic water curtain protects against fibre entering the pump, making it a suitable choice for underground mining, surface mining, and general dewatering applications. The mechanical seal is positioned in a non-pressurised zone, away from the high-pressure discharge area and removed from the path of tramp, which contributes to enhancing the durability and longevity of the pump.
Additionally, JetGuard® is dry run tolerant and can run on the snore, further highlighting its reliability and robustness in demanding mining environments. JetGuard® is available in 10kW (14Hp) and 20kW (27Hp) for purchase or hire on our maintenance inclusive programme.
Guardian®
An upgrade to the Raptor® range, the Guardian® incorporates an all-metal wet end with a high chrome impeller, extending pump life and reducing repair costs. It is compatible with OEM BIBO ranges and available in 8kW (11Hp) and 20kW (27Hp) models for purchase or hire on our maintenance inclusive programme.
Raptor®
Wholly manufactured by PumpEng, the Raptor® is designed for mining, construction, and general applications. It offers compatibility with OEM BIBO ranges through interchangeable parts and is available in 5kW (7Hp), 8kW (11Hp), and 20kW (27Hp) models for purchase or hire, providing flexible power solutions.
ScatPump®
A highly durable, top-discharge slurry submersible pump with a mechanical agitator and wide clearances, the ScatPump® offers flows up to 6 m³/min and heads up to 32 m. It is a solid workhorse in any condition, available in models ranging from 1.5 to 22 kW.
MetalVest™
Featuring an all-metal wetend and impeller design, MetalVest™ is a high-head dewatering pump designed for tough environments. It offers extended wear life and reduced repair costs, available in 37 kW (50Hp) – 75 kW (100Hp) in various voltage options.
CanaryPump
A lightweight, user-friendly, and easy-to-maintain pump management solution for underground pumping. The bright yellow colour and weight of less than 25 kg make it easy for a single person to handle. Its replaceability ensures quick maintenance and minimal downtime, making it a game-changer in pumping efficiency.
Strategy and Operations Services
• Site Inspection Services for Current and Future Developments
With every underground mine having several dewatering sites, these will differ in the type of challenges, such as water quality, slope and water volume.
Experienced professional will inspect your site to learn about each of these sites. They will get input from people on the ground so they can get a greated understanding of what is affecting the smooth running of that part of the dewatering operation.
• Data-driven solutions for reliable dewatering pumps
Once PumpEng has identified which dewatering strategy is to be tested in each circumstance, we will implement that system. Any pumps returning will be studied to identify the point of failure and adjust the approach for that site accordingly. This might be a different pump or an adjustment to how the pump is operated.
• Quarterly data analysis and system improvement
PumpEng is committed to working closely with you to constantly improve the operation of your dewatering system. We will follow up with quarterly reviews of the site to evaluate and improve the performance of that dewatering system.
In addition, pump performance data alerts PumpEng to the changing dewatering conditions within the mine and how the dewatering system will be adjusted to accommodate that change.
