Australia-based engineering group Monadelphous Group has received various maintenance and construction contracts worth $200m and contract extensions worth $140m.
Under the contract the firm will provide sustaining capital work for Queensland Alumina’s Gladstone alumina refinery for a period of three years.
Monadelphous has also signed a one-year maintenance services contract with Rio Tinto Dampier Salt in Western Australia, and will provide support to BHP Billiton’s Olympic Dam copper-uranium operation in South Australia for three years.
The new construction contracts, which are worth $60m, include structural mechanical work for Rio Tinto’s iron ore operation at Cape Lambert, Western Australia.
The firm signed a contract with MCC Mining for additional pipeworks associated with the concentrator at Citic Pacific’s Sino iron project at Cape Preston, Western Australia.
Monadelphous will also provide a mechanical and electrical installation package at the Boyne smelter development project in Queensland, and electrical and instrumentation installation for the Million Ounce plant upgrade project in Papua New Guinea.
