Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions has unveiled AutoMine Lifecycle Support Solutions to offer aftermarket technology support for its AutoMine customers.
This service is designed to improve uptime and facilitate continuous process optimisation in mining automation.
It offers scalable and customised solutions to meet the specific automation requirements of each customer and is supported by Sandvik's global network of service centres.
The aftermarket service solution is structured to lower downtime in automated production processes, increase productivity, develop operator competence and enhance the return on investment in automation technologies.
It also provides vital life cycle support for business-critical automation processes, ensuring that customers can maintain and enhance their operations effectively.
It is built around the three pillars of successful technology implementation: automation, competence and operations.
Customers have access to a 24/7 service ticketing portal, complete with standardised service level KPI [key performance indicator] metrics, to ensure consistent support.
AutoMine Lifecycle Support Solutions offers a variety of support options through “cost-effective” packages.
These include onsite or remote expert support services, competence development programmes, software release deployment, annual automation performance reviews and digital mining excellence advisory services.
Such offerings are designed to help customers maximise the benefits of AutoMine by improving skills and operational processes.
Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions global aftermarket automation director Niel McCoy said: “We have developed this service to support customers in maximising the benefits of their automation investments and to provide them with an improved aftermarket support experience for automation technology.
“That means added value through improvements in productivity and use of AutoMine capabilities through training, online troubleshooting resources and [a] global support network.
“This solution also provides customers with the tools to plan ahead for their AutoMine spare parts, helping them prevent downtime and get production up and running as quickly as possible.”
