Australian engineering group Monadelphous Group has received a suite of new contracts and extensions valued at around A$160m ($106.99m).

The company secured two one-year extensions for fixed plant maintenance services and sustaining capital projects across Rio Tinto’s iron ore operations in the Pilbara region of Western Australia (WA).

It also obtained a contract for fabrication, supply, installation and commissioning at Rio Tinto’s Tom Price mine, with completion expected by mid-2025.

Additionally, Monadelphous landed a new three-year contract for minor project works at South32’s Worsley Alumina operations in WA, following a maintenance and shutdown services contract extension announced last month.

Monadelphous has a long-standing relationship with Worsley Alumina, providing services for nearly two decades.

Besides, Inteforge, Monadelphous' fabrication business, secured a contract for the supply and fabrication of structural steelwork and pipe racks for Iluka’s Eneabba Rare Earth’s Refinery Project in WA.

This project is also due for completion in mid-2025.

With more than 50 years of experience, Monadelphous has established itself as a provider of construction, maintenance and industrial services in the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors.

Last year, in October, Monadelphous received contracts worth A$170m for construction, maintenance and extensions in the resources and energy sectors.

Lynas Rare Earths picked Monadelphous for the first stage of the Mt Weld Expansion Project in WA’s Goldfields region, with Monadelphous tasked with the structural, mechanical and piping works related to the new concentration facility.

Mt Weld is considered to hold one of the world’s highest-grade rare earth deposits.
