Mineral Road Discovery has completed the acquisition of the remaining 33% stake in the Atlin-Ruffner Polymetallic Project in north-western British Columbia (BC), Canada.
The company will issue 500,000 shares to finalise the consolidation of its Atlin-Ruffner ownership, pending regulatory approval.
Additionally, Mineral Road announced that, under its stock option plan, it has granted incentive stock options to select officers and consultants, allowing the purchase of up to 3,250,000 common shares at $0.075 per share, exercisable until 28 November 2029.
The Atlin-Ruffner project encompasses 28 crown-granted mineral claims covering an area of 412.5ha.
Situated about 23km north-east of Atlin, the project has a history of small-scale mining activities targeting gold, silver and lead-zinc, dating from 1916 to 1981. The property features several small underground workings.
Historical drilling on the property's number 2 and 4 veins was conducted in 1951 and between 1967 and 1968, with a total of around 4,000m drilled, mostly from underground positions.
Despite this, no significant exploration has been reported since 1968, apart from sporadic production and surface geological, geochemical and geophysical work.
Additionally, the Atlin-Ruffner Project is close to the Ruby Creek Molybdenum Deposit, known as the Adanac Molybdenum Deposit.
The Ruby Creek site has seen substantial development, including feasibility studies, permitting and the commencement of mine construction by its former operator, Adanac Molybdenum.
The most recent exploratory work on the Atlin-Ruffner property was carried out by Pacific Harbour Resources in 1996.
This work included a comprehensive grid geochemical survey and geophysical surveys using very low frequency and induced polarisation methods, indicating the potential for further discoveries.
Fieldwork at Atlin-Ruffner is set for summer 2025, focusing on geological mapping, prospecting, sampling and locating historic sites.
Mineral Road CEO Jason Cubitt said: “The Atlin-Ruffner camp remains one of the few historic mining districts in BC with little modern-day exploration.
“With the continued focus on critical minerals within the newly elected BC Government and around the world, Mineral Road believes high-grade underground targets such as Atlin-Ruffner represent an attractive path forward for all stakeholders."
