The New Zealand government’s licensing of seabed mining off the coast of Taranaki “threatens to turn seas into an open-cast mine”.
Under the deal, Globex transferred its Rich Lake and Lac à l’Eau Jaune (gold) properties to IAMGOLD.
The net proceeds from the offering will be used for drilling and general working capital needs.
The property will be acquired for C$20,000 ($14,661) and the issuance of two million common shares to the Wahl Group.
The final agreement is contingent on successful negotiations between CopAur and Nevada Sunrise.
Under the deal, GBM will receive A$2.95m ($1.99m) in cash and a 1.5% net smelter royalty (NSR) from Olary.
The mine was previously wholly owned by BCB subsidiary Coking Coal One (CCO).
The prospect is located on the southern end of the RK Lithium Project, covering an area of 42 hectares (ha).
