Ridgeline Minerals has secured approval for its exploration plan of operations permit for the Selena CRD (carbonate replacement deposits) project in Nevada, US.
The move paves the way for extensive exploration activities upon posting the necessary reclamation bond with the US Bureau of Land Management (BLM).
This permit allows for up to 200 acres of surface disturbance, which will enable Ridgeline Minerals to conduct comprehensive exploration programmes including the construction of drill roads and pads.
The initial phase, which accounts for approximately 34 acres of the total disturbance, aims to methodically explore the mineralised CRD corridor between the Butte Valley Porphyry and Ridgeline’s Chinchilla Oxide discovery.
Ridgeline’s exploration targets include high-priority areas such as the Skarn and Chinchilla Sulphide targets.
The company plans to submit an annual work plan to the BLM, which will allow for adjustments to the Phase 1 road and drill pad locations to accommodate future exploration phases.

Situated in White Pine County, Nevada, the Selena project spans 39km² and is close to the Butte Valley project.
The Selena project encompasses both the shallow-oxide Ag-Au ± Pb-Zn Chinchilla Oxide and the deeper Chinchilla Sulphide discoveries.
Ridgeline exploration vice-president Michael Harp said: “The approval of our plan of operations is a significant permitting milestone for Selena, and we sincerely appreciate the support of the BLM and local permitting agencies who helped make this happen.
“The Chinchilla Sulphide and Skarn targets continue to be the company’s highest priority exploration targets with two 2022 scout drill-holes at the Chinchilla Sulphide target intersecting robust CRD mineralisation over 2km down-dip of the outcropping Chinchilla Oxide discovery.
“We can now begin planning the next phase of exploration at Selena, which will be aggressively explored at depth and along strike towards Freeport-McMoRan‘s Butte Valley Porphyry project adjacent to our western claim boundary.”
