Consolidated Tin Mines has announced that Snow Peak Mining-owned Mt Garnet Concentrator has started copper concentrate production at the Surveyor project in Queensland, Australia.
The company has a 9.85% free carry interest in Snow Peak Mining’s Surveyor and manages the project.
Consolidated Tin said that mining activities continue to be ramped-up at the surveyor mine and preparations are underway for mining at Baal Gammon.
It is anticipated that about one million tonnes a year of tin ore would be processed at the Mt Garnet concentrator, to produce about 5,000t a year of tin concentrate.
Consolidated Tin Mines managing director John Banning said the company is delighted with the milestones achieved to date and looks forward to continued success and future profit for both Snow Peak Mining and Consolidated Tin.
"The recommencement of operations is of great significance, not only for the companies from a revenue perspective, but it has brought a sense of regeneration to the Mt Garnet region as a whole," Banning said.
