Australia's Northern Territory government has awarded Major Project status to KGL Resources’ 100%-owned Jervois Copper-Silver-Gold Project.
Northern Territory Minister for Primary Industry and Resources Ken Vowles and KGL Resources chairman Denis Wood have announced the project facilitation agreement (PFA) between the government and the company at the Annual Geoscience Exploration Seminar in Alice Springs.

The PFA agreement will enable the Northern Territory government and KGL to collaborate to advance the project through the required approvals processes.
Wood said: “The confidence that the northern government has shown in KGL and the Jervois Project and the cooperation extended to the company in moving towards development at Jervois are greatly appreciated.”
Currently, KGL Resources is following the strategy of increasing and upgrading the Jervois resource through exploration before advancing to the development stage.
The exploration programme largely focused on the Rockface prospect where it has discovered extensive additional mineralisation at higher grades of copper.
The company is continuing with intensive exploration at Rockface to support a resource update and allow preliminary work to begin on assessing mining and processing options, on the path towards the Jervois project development.
Jervois Copper-Silver Project is located nearly 380km north-east of Alice Springs, a town in Northern Territory.
