Mineral exploration and development firm Landore Resources has completed a 3D direct current induced polarisation and magnetotellurics (DCIP+MT) geophysics survey on the Junior Lake nickel-copper property in Ontario, Canada.

Landore retained Quantec Geoscience in September 2013, to complete an additional DCIP+MT ground geophysical survey over the B4-7 and VW Nickel Trends.

The survey block spans from grid line 300E to 3700E and line 700N to 1500S, and is situated to the east of Landore’s 2012 Orion 3D DCIP+MT survey block covering the Scorpion zone.

Preliminary findings from the study will be available by mid March, with the final results expected in May, Landore said.

"A 4,000m drill programme is due to start in the first half of this year to test prospective targets."

The survey results will be used to delineate additional resource mineralisation at the deposits and to identify new potential sulphide mineralisation within the space between the two deposits.

A 4,000m drill programme is due to start in the first half of this year to test prospective targets in the region.

The Junior Lake property is situated about 235km north-north-east of Thunder Bay; it extends for 31km and covers an area of 31,603ha.

The property is host to the Scorpion zone, which comprises the B4-7 nickel-copper-cobalt-PGEs deposit, the Alpha zone and the recently-identified exploration target.

Junior Lake also features the VW nickel deposit and several other highly prospective mineral occurrences.

Landore Resources is headquartered in London, UK, has mineral rights to six properties in eastern Canada.
