Nevada Copper has announced that it is progressing towards the resumption of concentrate production at the Pumpkin Hollow underground copper project in the third quarter this year.
Production at the mine was temporarily halted in early April this year due to the travel and workplace restrictions imposed by the Nevada government to contain the spread of covid-19.
The Pumpkin Hollow project is an underground copper mine and a large-scale open-pit development with a number of exploration hotspots.
Located in Yerington, the copper mine has a project life of 23 years.
As part of its preparations to restart the mine, Nevada Copper has completed vertical development of the main shaft.
Currently, preparations are underway for the restart of processing operations, which are targeted for this August.
