This strategic move aims to refine drilling trajectories and target generation, leveraging a historical data set to increase the probability of success.

ExploreTech’s Engine AI and cloud computing platform will work alongside Giant Mining’s geology team to synthesise exploration data dating back to the 1940s.

The AI technology, developed by the company’s founders through their PhD research at Stanford University, represents the “next generation” of mineral exploration, having proven successful at various global sites, according to the company.

The upcoming 2025 drill programme will integrate more than 80 previous drill-holes and more than 83,000ft of drilling data.

This includes extensive surface sampling, geological mapping, geophysics and rigorous analysis to guide operational plans and provide insights on the copper target identified over the past four years.

The initial payment for this advanced exploration stage has been completed by Giant Mining.

ExploreTech CEO Alex Miltenberger said: “With access to the company’s data room we are excited to get the survey and analysis under way. We are excited by the Majuba Hill Copper Deposit and the prospect of working with the team at Giant Mining on what should be a transformative year for the company.”

The 2025 phase one drill programme at Majuba Hill will include four drill-holes, each reaching a depth of 1,100ft, with the potential to extend up to 1,600ft based on the technical team’s discretion.

This follows the high-grade copper-silver mineralisation discovered in hole MHB-30 in 2024.

The analysis will focus on identifying high-grade copper-silver zones in the Southern Breccia Corridor, exploring expansion opportunities for near existing high-grade domains and locating the source porphyry responsible for the mineralised breccias.

Giant Mining CEO David Greenway said: “We are excited to commence this next phase of working with the team at ExploreTech in preparation for our upcoming drill programme at Majuba Hill.

“2025 aims to be Majuba Hill and Giant Mining’s most critical and exciting year yet and we couldn’t be feeling more motivated by what we look to achieve and the outcome it could present for Giant Mining and its stakeholders.”
