TAD Mineral has announced that it has acquired around 4,500 hectares (11,000 acres) in the Athabasca Basin prospective for uranium.

The new property, located in Canada, borders NexGen Energy, according to the company. The prospect was acquired via MARS.

TAD Mineral director James Nelson said, "Clearly, the positive news yesterday from NexGen and Fission, indicates that there is significant continued interest in the Athabasca Basin. This acquisition now gives TJ multiple prospects in this world-class uranium district."

"Management is now formulating a plan to investigate this new prospect, as well as look to build on the current assets in the company, and possibly acquire additional assets."

TAD has also added another three new prospects in the country.

The company has added a prospect in the Athabasca Basin’s uranium district, which is close to the Alpha/Fission Patterson Lake South discovery.
