Brazil’s base metal production, comprising copper and nickel, is predicted to increase between 2015 and 2020.
Production of copper is expected to be 388,268t and 154,001t for nickel in 2020, compared with 311,685t and 118,034t respectively in 2014.
Entitled ‘Base Metals Mining In Brazil To 2020‘, the report explores the impact of major projects starting such as the Antas North mine and an extension of Salobo mine for producing copper, as well as Vermelho mine and the Morro Sem Bone project for nickel production.
