Blackthorn Resources subsidiary Nantou Mining has received a three year renewal for its Seboun and Sepaogo exploration permits in Burkina Faso.

Seboun and Sepaogo exploration permits cover an area of 185sq km and 26.4sq km respectively, and are strategically located adjacent to the Poa and Guido permits to form a contiguous block covering a total area of 521.4km2.

The permits also include favourable geology from the Boromo Greenstone belt, which is also host to the Perkoa zinc project and other gold operations in Burkina Faso.

Blackthron Resources has planned an exploration programme in these areas in search of additional base metals or silver / gold mineralisation.

The exploration model will be based on volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) style of mineralisation, to assume the typical characteristic that VMS style deposits generally occur in groups or clusters.
