Australia’s Fortbridge has launched a new application to help junior mining and energy companies locate investors more easily and cost-effectively.
The Fund Finder app claims to help executives identify new investor targets and access information on sector-specific funds, including their location and profiles.
The online tool could be key for small-cap listed mining, as well as energy companies due to the significance of international investors to the sector.
Both Android and Apple mobile device users will be able to access information and locate around 2,500 investor groups in more than 20 markets. The new app is available on a monthly subscription basis through the App Store or Google Play.
Fund Finder has the ability to connect users via the LinkedIn profile of investors, in addition to the websites of these funds and institutions.
With LinkedIn’s increasing relevance, the app enables users to stay in touch with investor groups through social media with minimal effort or cost. By exploiting social media technologies, the app can deliver investment market leads direct to any hand-held device irrespective of the user location.
Development of the online application is deisgned to tackle difficulties the natural resources sector encounters trying to reach and target specialist investor groups, which is expensive and requires investment in third-party databases.
Small-cap companies cannot justify the cost of accessing global investor databases, so Fund Finder offers an economical and functional alternative.
