The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 2.52% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.
Out of the mining industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.22% share in April 2022, recording an increase of 0.05% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 5.97% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s mining industry during April 2022 over March 2022.
RTI International Metals posted 24 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a rise of 33.33% over the previous month, followed by Nucor with 22 jobs and a 69.23% growth. Freeport-McMoRan with 12 IT jobs and Aditya Birla Management Corp with 7 jobs, recorded a 53.85% decline and a 16.67% growth, respectively, while Alcoa recorded an increase of 50% with 6 job postings during April 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 54.55%, down by 1.49% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 29.75% share, registered an increase of 38.46% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 15.7% share, down 24% over March 2022.
