Germany’s mining industry registered a 4.7% rise in IT hiring activity in November 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 13.39% in November 2021 when compared with October 2021.

Out of the mining industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 7.89% share in November 2021, recording a decrease of 0.8% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Germany’s mining industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded an 89.47% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s mining industry in November 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 42.11% in November 2021, registering a 50% decline over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 26.32% share, an increase of 400% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 10.53%, registering a flat growth from October 2021.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 5.26%, flat growth over the previous month.

Top five mining companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s mining industry during November 2021 over October 2021.

ThyssenKrupp posted 16 IT jobs in November 2021 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Advanced Metallurgical Group with 1 job and a flat growth. Salzgitter with 1 IT job and Imerys with 1 jobs, recorded a 50% decline and a flat growth.

Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 89.47%, flat growth from October 2021. Mid Level positions with a 5.26% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 5.26% share, down 50% over October 2021.
