Out of the mining industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.2% share in November 2022, recording a decrease of 0.04% over the last three-month average share.

Equinox Gold posted 7 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a rise of 133.33% over the previous month, followed by Vale with 7 jobs and a flat growth. American Iron & Metal Co with 6 IT jobs and Teck Resources with 5 jobs, recorded a 20% growth and a 58.33% decrease, respectively, while Rio Tinto recorded an increase of 50% with 3 job postings during November 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 60%, down by 16% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 25.71% share, registered a decline of 47.06% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 14.29% share, flat growth over October 2022.
