Architecture and Engineering Occupations drive mining industry hiring activity

Of the industry's total hiring activity, the highest number of new job postings were for Architecture and Engineering Occupations, which accounted for 14% of the total new job postings in Q2 2024 and were down by 6% year-on-year. Second highest were Sales and Related Occupations, which accounted for 7% and drop by 4% year-on-year, and third highest were Management Occupations, which were 7% of the new job postings and 50% lower year-on-year.

Top five companies in mining industry accounted for 66% of hiring activity

The highest number of jobs were posted by Caterpillar with 272, followed by ABB with 237, while the highest increase was at Guangxi Liugong Machinery at 21%.
