Lithium Argentina is planning to shift its corporate domicile to Switzerland to bolster its financing flexibility and support long-term growth.
The redomiciling is due to be executed through a plan of arrangement, with the company continuing from British Columbia, Canada, before shifting jurisdiction to the Canton of Zug, Switzerland.
Subject to shareholder, stock exchange and court approvals, the move is set for early 2025.
Lithium Argentina will be renamed Lithium Argentina AG following the relocation.
Following an extensive review, Switzerland emerged as the optimal location for Lithium Argentina from strategic, commercial and legal standpoints, the company said.
It believes this move will provide access to various markets, proximity to European customers and an attractive investment framework for shareholders.
