Indonesian firm AKR Corporindo is planning to invest $100m to expand its operations in the country and acquire a coal-mining plant in Kalimantan.
AKR Corporindo’s president and director Haryanto Adikusumo said the firm will spend some of the funds on constructing roads and coal terminals in the Kalimantan area.
The firm is currently building a coal terminal at Timbau Bay in Kalimantan to transport coal to overseas markets such as China.
