Continental Gold has obtained an environmental licence for construction of a transmission line to power its proposed underground mine at the Buriticá Project in Colombia.
The licence was approved by Corpouraba, a regional autonomous environmental authority in Antioquia.

Continental’s 100%-owned Buriticá project is located in the middle Cauca belt.
The 110kV electrical transmission line will come from an EPM substation in Chorodó and cover a distance of 31.09km, connecting with Continental’s substation at the project.
Design of the transmission line is in accordance with environmental protocols in order to limit impacts that could be generated on abiotic, biotic and socio-economic environments.
Continental's environmental impact assessment has also incorporated necessary measures to reduce and compensate all environmental impacts that would be identified during preparation of the studies.
