Enforcer Gold together with Globex Mining Enterprises have started ground-induced polarisation (IP) geophysical survey works at Montalembert gold project in Quebec, Canada.
The survey will cover around 1.5km x 1.5km over the main vein occurrences (Galena and No2 veins), which are located in the southernmost part of the property.
The contract for 45km line survey has been awarded to Géophysique TMC of Val-d'Or QC, which will provide a 3D model, vertical sections and geophysical interpretation.
This survey is expected to be completed within three weeks and before the commencement of diamond drilling.
A geophysical method in mineral exploration, IP is a useful in detecting and characterising sub-surface disseminated mineralisation and quartz.
The silicified and quartz-bearing shear zones at Montalembert host 1%-5% disseminated pyrite and pyrrhotite, with trace amounts of chalcopyrite, galena and free gold.

By GlobalDataIn March, a 1km test line of IP was completed over the main vein occurrences, which yielded positive results.
Enforcer Gold president and CEO Steve Roebuck said: "We're looking forward to the results of the extended IP survey over the known vein occurrences and determining how IP will aid in exploring other parts of the property. We anticipate that IP will become a valuable technique in our exploration toolbox at Montalembert."
The IP survey is part of Enforcer's comprehensive field programme that began in May. Besides the exposure of the Galena and No2 veins, the survey will focus on additional channel sampling along the vein extensions. It will also cover property-wide prospecting and geochemical sampling, ground truthing of airborne anomalies, 5,000m-8,000m of core drilling, and 1,000m of RC drilling.
Enforcer Gold Corp has 100% interest in the 7,300ha gold project, which is located west of Chibougamau in Quebec's Abitibi greenstone belt.
After staking the property in 2015, Globex Mining extended the exposure of Galena and No2 veins to lengths of 183m and 89m respectively. It also focused on channel sampling across the veins. Enforcer Gold optioned the property from Globex in last November.
The property uses hydroelectric power and has easy access to labour, fuel, accommodation and other industry-related services.
