The governments of Canada and Yukon have pledged a combined investment of around C$360m ($290m) to improve road access in the country's north-west mining region.

The proposed infrastructure development will be carried out through the Yukon Resource Gateway Project, covering mineral-rich areas, including the Dawson Range in central Yukon and the Nahanni Range Road in south-eastern Yukon.
